A 类虫洞相当适合基金会进行穿越。它们涵盖了用相关的物理学标准模型可以假定出的所有折叠时空的理论性区域，并且在尝试穿越时会伴随着或者不伴随着一些典型挑战——拓扑问题、引力，诸如此类。
这包括自然形成的虫洞，其内的量子场可以稳定至容许以太自由流动的程度。此外，对于基金会行动高度有用的异常区域也可能划入此类。

举个例子，我的[[[billiths-proposal|提案]]]里着重写到的时空折叠就是个 E 类“失去理性的一刻”虫洞，可以记作 S-CSMWAUC2T（空间性，循环式稳定，固定，显现型，广域，不定，有条件地双向，瞬态），意思是此门径会扭曲时空，在稳定和不稳定之间振荡，不移动，会无来由地出现在与此前相异的区域，具有大直径，危害风险未知，符合条件时允许从两个方向穿过，且仅会出现一段时间并再次消失。
