延长一周的投稿时长后，2023『缺失』设定竞赛在5月13日结束。
* 由[[*user Agent Phage]]、[[*user breaddddd]]、[[*user DouglasLiu]]、[[*user RosaliaXD]]和[[*user W Asriel]]合著的[http://scp-wiki-cn.wikidot.com/transcription-malfunctioned-hub 转录故障]设定，围绕SCP-2000的故障展开。在缺失了准确度后，工具便不再顺手，甚至会成为一把双刃剑。通过采用多种格式（SCP文档、故事、故事系列、GoI格式），转录故障队为我们充分展示了艰难的重建过程中人类的迷茫与坚定，力夺冠军。
* 由[[*user CaroyalKKaia]]、[[*user Enzo_Stamatis]]、[[*user MDYw_RainTree]]、[[*user Rye Travis]]和[[*user Sharethesilence]]合著的[http://scp-wiki-cn.wikidot.com/cold-start-hub 冷启动]设定，巧合地与转录故障一样描述灭世灾难后的重建，但更为极端——基金会在惨痛的战争后解散，留下艰苦求生的普通民众。如设定名一样，冷启动队的作品散发着冷峻气息，带有海明威“冰点写作”的味道，荣获亚军。
* 由[[*user CTorJSChen]]、[[*user initializerCOX]]、[[*user Kanie Ja]]、[[*user Etinjat]]和[[*user Confucian Lee]]合著的[http://scp-wiki-cn.wikidot.com/demarcaters-of-the-edge-center 边界勘定人]设定，则少了一点宏大，多了一点亲切——在这个高危异常少见，偶发超自然现象的世界中，SCP基金会不再躲在帷幕之后，不再拥有异常科技，成为了和写作网站类似的公开的学术研究组织。怪谈爱好者们逐渐用专业知识武装自己，探索超自然现象和那不为人知的秘密。边界勘定人队的作品带有在学术研究中难能可贵的好奇与务实，展示探索者本应展现的高贵品质，斩获季军。

继2022第3届「为所欲为」杯新人竞赛后，第四届新人竞赛将在2023这个依然热情如火的夏天开幕！

在门槛的设置上，本届新人竞赛和2022年保持一致，但标准稍有放宽。竞赛分四个赛道：SCP文档、故事、GoI格式、搞笑和成人作品。不设总排行榜，四个赛道独立评分。本次赛制相当于第3届新人竞赛的门槛设置与第2届新人竞赛的规则的结合，除去了第二次的“进阶赛期”设置，并进行了一些小调整。

谁能忘记那些新人竞赛中涌现的黑马选手呢？本期新人竞赛又会出现什么？我们拭目以待。

国际站正受到更多写手与翻译者的关注，国际站站务抓住了上升期，宣布开启新的竞赛——伟大传说与独到风格竞赛。竞赛赛制的特别之处在于，其大胆的运用了“随机”——参赛者允许以SCP文档、故事和GoI格式参赛，但必须在风格（Aesthetics）和设定（Lore）两个主办方给出的池子中各随机抽取一个风格和设定，在此基础上进行写作。各分部参赛者无需以英文写作、投稿至国际站，而是可以用母语写作、发布在各自的分部。设定池秉承了国际站的传统，汇集了各个分部的有趣设定，被囊括进设定池的中文分部设定包括但不限于港．城．江、岿阳派、医院、圣克里斯汀娜书院，以及最近赢得设定竞赛冠军的转录故障。不仅是设定，多名中分写手也已报名参加该竞赛，让人更加期待将看到的作品。

投稿从7月11日开始，随机的风格与设定相结合会碰撞出什么火花呢？一切也许只能交由掉入锅中的骰子决定了。

2022年恐怖月活动作品，典型的Ecronak式条目。Ecronak擅长在超自然背景下书写家庭悲剧，以恐怖场面示人的同时表现相当深刻的主题。相较于同作者另一佳作[[[SCP-6670]]]，本篇在项目主体（SCP-7686）登场前的亲子关系上多费笔墨，起承转合圆满，结尾轻盈动人，耐人寻味。作者出示剧中人的“生活”细节，不失高明地营造真实感，将现实气息和恐怖气息交错供给读者，取得了十分不错的整体效果。
