就在此时，我被吓了一跳：就在我的办公室前，原本应是一片光滑墙面的墙上竟凭空出现了一扇门。镇定下来后，我问Katharina，她在敲门前是否有看到过另一扇门。她回答说没有，并提醒我，在她所监督的站点改造工程中，没有任何一份图纸绘出过那扇门。她似乎同样很害怕。
我们三人站在门前。Gerasim在颤抖着。为保护他的心理健康，我决定不打开门。
门突然随着一声巨响自己敞开了，像是内侧有什么东西撞开了它。我们全都受到了惊吓。后续情况可见照片附件：一个在我看来形似干缩人头，有如死婴头颅的物体立在了变形的肉块之上，血肉顶端延伸出极长的上附肢。最令人毛骨悚然的是，那张面孔似乎正盯着我们。
Gerasim当场失去了意识。我们抬着他的身体逃向医务室，同时呼叫了曾受过医疗培训的Sarah。

只有主入口现在通向了一个新的房间，房间内还有另一个毫无解释地离开储存区域的物件，尽管它在评估时被标为“正常”。
此前已有数名团队成员报告过有物件出现在意外位置（先前仅限于现有房间）。我们最初曾考虑过集体疲劳的假设，因为自改造工程结束以来，我们每天的工作规律接近12-14小时，没有休息日。

3. 走向综合命名法，或如何重新思考异常

以上四类命名法的介绍令我们仍有未完之感。尽管每种方法都成功地提炼出了相关特征，但我们知道其中仍然缺少一处核心维度。
在我们研究现有的不同文物的过程中，若干要素引起了我们的关注：

- Goddard博士描述了两副在两个不同房间内共享同一仪式的供奉面具。当于同一时刻安置时，中央走廊即会响起黄昏歌谣。她的社会-功能命名法无法描述此种横向共融现象。
- Froben博士发现，一件正常现代物件与一件异常古代碎片产生了共鸣，由此开启了一道永恒的微裂缝，仿佛两者正在合奏。他的时间-材质命名法未能预见到此种潜在的时代不符效应。
- Gerlachin博士指出，有两件文物的对应图样可在空间中绘出“神圣几何”图样，其可引发与仪式咒语成比例的空间折叠现象。该效应并非源于单个物件，而是源于它们与环境的关联。她的仪式-象征命名法无法将其归类。
- 最后，Lebedev博士观察到了一件异常小型雕像与正常圣物匣间存有的价值转移现象：雕像逐渐“贬低”了圣物匣的价值，令其沦为了供奉物品的祭坛。他的经济-神秘学命名法对持有物流通进行了描述，却未能对这种异常与环境间的关系演变进行解释。
上述现象迫使团队重新审视我们所采用的方法。我们所需的不仅仅是一个只能满足于描述本质（“某物件由某材质构成”、“某文物属于某时代”）的分类工具，我们需要一个能够描述相互作用的系统。

我们因而提出以下定义：
当满足以下条件时，某物体即为异常：
- 其对环境的作用与预期效果不符，
- 其环境对其施加的影响未达预期。
换言之：__异常性体现于联系之中__。
一件文物的定义不仅由其物质属性、时代背景、象征意义或价值决定，更重要的是由其周遭生成的事物所决定。文物并非孤立存在：它如同一个节点，存在于一张包含正常世界、承载物件本身的场所、乃至有时连同观察它的研究者也一并囊括的网络之中。
我们现在认为，对异常物体的完整描述必须关注其与异常或正常环境间的联系：
- 邻近联系，可压缩或扩展时空；
- 共振联系，耦合时可将现象放大；
- 触发联系，一方激活另一方；
- 捕获联系，其中一方吸收另一方的功能或价值。
我们的综合命名法的基柱由此奠定：它并不是一份物件的名录，而是一张对塑造其空间之关系进行描绘的图谱。

大功告成，综合命名法终于正式发表了。我们耗费无数时光，只为提炼出异常物体的本质特征及其与世界的关联：我带着谦卑这样想着，如今我们终于能够理解了。我曾饱受诸多疑虑，将我们囚禁在美因茨站点的异常，是不是只是想让我们理解它的本质？
这句话并不是天真使然。我既不习惯每天工作12小时，也无法忽视如此令人不安的事实——三个月来毫无饥渴感，在无法开启的窗户下，终日生活在永无黑夜的状态中。站点改造后，无人再能进入此地：我们身在另一维度——它的维度。正是这个异常推动我们完成了综合分类体系的构建。
我甚至可以说，它赋予了我们某种能力，使我们能够以创纪录的速度完成数百名研究者都无法企及的全面研究。每个子元素都经过了413次测试和衡量。该命名法能够用短短几个词描述一切异常，从而简化基金会的工作。
很快，异常将使我们重获自由。它会为我们打开通向外界的大门，我们的艰辛使命也将就此终结。

异常降生后的公元一九五三年五月一日，美因茨圣站点一切物件均由神圣命名法予以圣化，此命名法由命名使徒们所制定。下文为他们的话语。
I. 四命名法福音书
**Froben福音**
他是于时间裂隙中参见神性之人。
每道时空裂痕，每次年代共鸣，每段时间错位，于他而言均是神启之门。
他见证着，凡是持久存在或是反复重现的事物，皆已成圣。
**Gerlachin福音**
她是于神圣几何中勾勒神性之人。
每处图样均与另一处呼应，每处图形均扭曲空间以俯首。

命名法福音书就此宣告诞生：四双视线凝视同一张网络。
因为每段联结皆因神性而存在，

我操我操我操，我其实一直都知道结局会是这样。祂不仅想要一套完美的命名法，更需要使徒予以完善并赋予它生命。祂渴望着扩张，这才是一切行为的根源。祂的本质是一个本体论异常。祂会操纵那些描述祂的个体的思想。
祂可以和每个按祂的命名法所描述的元素建立联系。那452个物件中肯定有一件存放着祂的本质，在对那物件分类时，我们第一次将祂释放了。正是祂让我们陷入了这种痴狂。自那时起，我们便不断将每个物件与祂相互联系，所有按祂的命名法进行描述的事物都成为了祂的延伸。
绝对不能将SCP编号分配予祂。祂会污染基金会的命名体系，然后基金会就会变成祂。
但基金会必须知晓这一切。在我们还有通向外界的出口时，我愚蠢地没能将这一切叫停。这一系列照片将成为此事唯一的留存痕迹，我希望它们能最终揭示真相。这些纸张将被整合于一处，用以讲述一段故事：若是我的最终计划成功，这段故事将不再存在。这份档案袋内包含了我们经历的所有未被异常污染的物证。请保管好它们，为它们分配好你们所想的SCP编号。项目的名字随你们定，要是你们认定是我的自大导致了悲剧，那就命名成“Johann Froben的肿胀大头”吧。它无论如何都应当成为一个警示。
祂渴望一切，渴望通过最为纯粹的、人人梦寐以求的命名法以在世间扩张。但我会向祂提出一场不同的交易：与其令一群或多或少与祂相关联的个体遭受牵连，我不如组建起一个小规模的团队，让后者在这片永不落日的微型口袋维度中照看着祂；这里没有饥渴之苦，时间也不复存在。

II. 命名者命名法
由于万物本身并无存在。
一切存在的本质不过是通往神性的联结。
因而我们在描述事物时，不应通过其本质，而应通过它们所开启的道路。
**人物**
- 使徒Froben是于时间裂隙中参见神性之人。
- 使徒Gerlachin是于神圣几何中勾勒神性之人。
- 使徒Goddard是于声音共鸣中聆听神性之人。
- 使徒Lebedev是于流动盛象中感知神性之人。
他们不过于此，也不逊于此。
因他们的存在无非是他们之联结的形态。
**修会**
- DEU:6657团队是连接知识与神性的躯干。
每项研究、每次交流、每套命名法都是这张网络中的一根丝线。
团队因而即是所有丝线相交汇的节点。
**地点**
- 美因茨站点是连接空间与神性的圣所。
其流动的走廊、无外界的窗户、变幻的房间，皆是敞向网络的通道。
站点因而是神性于物质之中的印记。
III. 启示
关于一件物体、一条生命或是一处地点，除去它与神性的联结以外，已无需多谈。
其余一切知识皆是赘余与干扰。
综合命名法于此达到圆满：

SCP-8542-I、II及III档案内所载信息于被发现后的后续调查期间未能得到证实：
- 1952至1953年间，美因茨未曾启用任何临时站点。此类建筑从未被建造过。
- 珊瑚网络实验室名录中未有任何DEU:6657团队的记录。档案内所提及的研究人员确曾存在，但在他们离职时，原单位的同事便已失去他们的一切踪迹。各方均推测他们已加入基金会内其余机构，但有关前述人员的资讯链均在此时中断。
- 有人提出他们可能企图挪用资金并改换身份逃亡，但在德国分部档案内未有发现任何预算申请记录。
- 其时的珊瑚网络总秘书处对于建立德国实验室的相关讨论仍存有“模糊的记忆”，该项目最终未能实现，但具体缘由无法解释。
- 同样地，在美因茨伊希斯与伟大之母圣殿附近开展考古工程的讨论也曾存在，但此项目既未获批准也未能启动。由于缺乏具体坐标，基金会始终未能找到该圣殿。
然而，于1953年5月1日德意志联邦共和国美因茨市一栋已弃用建筑发生火灾后，SCP基金会在废墟之中发现了这份档案。
尽管未有任何官方档案可证实该站点、团队或圣殿的存在，此份记载虚构事件的异常文件仍被迷雾记忆管理部以编号8542记录在案，作为预防措施（或者也许是为收容之用）而予以保存。
